Set the Different Overtime Rates for Various OT Hours Duration
In Carbonate HR, we can set the different OT rates for the employees rendering various OT hours duration.
For example, if the company set that the overtime rates for the first 4 hours of OT is 1.25x, and for more than 4 hours is 1.5x. Then, if the employee works for 15 hours, the rate for the first 4 hours is 1.25x, and then the remaining hours is 1.5x.
Before doing so, the compensation for OT hrs must be set into salary compensation.
Scroll down to the Overtime policy and go to the “How do you set the rate across the company?”
Select the “Rates based on Working Hours” among the options.
On the “Do you set different rates for different day types?”, toggle the Yes button.
Now, you can input the rates.
On the first field, put 1 to 4, then on the second field, put 5 to 8.
If you have different OT durations, you may input your preferred hours (e.g. first 3 hours).
