How to submit the IR8A AIS Amendment ?
An IR8A AIS Amendment is necessary when there are errors in the employment income data already submitted to IRAS under the Auto-Inclusion Scheme (AIS).
An IR8A AIS Amendment refers to the process of correcting errors or making updates to the employment income information that has already been submitted to IRAS via AIS. This may involve submitting a revised IR8A form for one or more employees to ensure the data is accurate and reflects the actual income details for the relevant Year of Assessment (YA).
Amendment files are not required for changes to employees' particulars such as address, date of birth, etc.
Amendment file is required only if there are changes to employee ID, income and deduction amounts or fields that affect the amount that was submitted.
In the amendment file, furnish only the difference in amount. Leave all other numeric fields, which were not affected by the error, as blank.
For example:
Actual Salary = $25,000
Original Transmission = $21,000
Amended record should be shown as "$4,000"
Actual Bonus = $6,000
Original transmission = $8,000
Amended record should be shown as "-$2,000"
Below are the steps how you can submit IR8A AIS Amendment in Carbonate:-
Go to the “Payroll” module.
Click on the “Bulk payslips” dropdown.
Select the “IRAS” option.
Click on the “Singpass Login” button.
Now login with your credentials and complete the process.
Once you logged In successfully. Click on the “IR8A AIS Amendment” button.
Click on the “Download” button to download the sample file.
Edit the file by removing the sample data and adding the data for your employees.
Select the “Employees Remuneration for the year” from the dropdown.
Select the “Entity for the Submission” from the dropdown.
Upload/Attach the Edited file by clicking on the “Attach file(CSV) and Review” button.
Check for the employee details who are skipped for any reason, and those whose data will be successfully pushed.
Click on the “Submit Details” button to send data to IRAS through AIS Amendment.
